On Sunday June 3rd, MOD70 N°05 Spindrift racing and her three classmates Foncia, Groupe Edmond de Rothschild and Oman Sail (freshly christened the previous day) will start two round trips between Saint-Nazaire and Sainte-Marine (Brittany), about 360 miles course. More than 50 boats, of all sizes and helmed both by professionals and by amateurs, will sail along the Breton coast to promote safety at sea and support volunteer lifeboat rescuers.
“More than the offshore training this race offers, to take part in the Record SNSM is very important to us from a human perspective. We are delighted to be involved in such a noble cause! ” Yann Guichard stated as he came back from a training session.
But before this great event and heading to Saint-Nazaire, the skipper of MOD70 N°05 and his men are training ardently with their faithful companion, the N°03 Foncia (Michel Desjoyeaux).
