François Morvan

At 35 years old François Morvan has a dazzling list of victories to his name; youth World Champion in the Hobie 16, French champion in the F18, he has accumulated a huge number of titles before leaving the world of inshore racing to take up offshore racing in 2011.

He has been a consistent member of Yann Guichard’s squad since 2013 and sails across all disciplines in the team’s fleet – from Spindrift 2 to the D35 and the Diam 24, where he was part of the victorious Spindrift team in the Tour de France a la Voile in 2015.  In 2016 he was on the crew as trimmer in the team’s first foray into the M32 class, where the team won a number of podium places, as well as finishing fourth in the Championship at the end of the season.

He ascribes and lives by the Olympic motto ‘the spirit of competition’, and he brings energy and additional motivation to the team.
