Jules Bidegaray
Sailor

Born: Nice, 10th February 1994
Lives:  Hyères, France

The young Jules Bidegaray started sailing in the classic, but competitive dinghy.  A member of C.O.Y.C.H. (Circle of Organization of Yachting of Competition Hyères), he secured his first victories in the Optimist and Laser classes. Staying with his club, he quickly passed onto larger boats and racking up nautical miles on the M34 TPM-COYCH during the Tours de France à la Voile 2013 and 2014.  Sailing soon became an obsession and, alongside Pierre Quiroga, he discovered match-racing.  In 2016, he took part in the first year of selection for Team France Jeune and won the youth classification of the Tour de France racing in a 24-foot trimaran. In parallel to the Diam 24 circuit, Jules does not miss any opportunity to race whether in IRC, J70, GC32 or the EasytoFly foiling boats.  His skills and knowledge of foiling will be put to good use on Spindrift racing’s TF35 as they start their first season in the new generation catamaran.
