Having secured a great win at the recent Bol d’Or on Lake Geneva, Spindrift racing was back in top form in the second event of the M32 European Series in Medemblik, Holland.

After three days of tight racing in varied yet sunny conditions, Spindrift racing again took the top podium spot. Ian Williams’ GAC Pindar, the benchmark team in this circuit, were narrowly beaten by the black and gold team led by Xavier Revil.

"We had great three days of racing, with strong winds on the first couple of days ranging between 10-15 knots. It was close racing in all the matches, especially against Ian Williams and the Swiss team, Section 16. Each day we were within just two points of each other, so was important not to relinquish any control. On the last day, the wind was lighter but we were very comfortable with our speed and manoeuvres managing to maintain our advantage right up to the finish line. It was a great regatta with lots of challenges on the water to ensure that we stayed at the front, and we are happy with the outcome. We achieved what we were looking for from this event - close racing while working hard on our manoeuvres - all good preparation for the World Match Match Championship in Marstrand in July,“ commented Xavier Revil
