The second event in the World Match Racing Tour will start on Thursday 26 July in Risør, Norway.  Twelve teams will compete for victory over the four-day event. Spindrift racing hopes to be able to consolidate their Marstrand victory and once again take the top step on the podium. Yann Guichard, skipper of the Spindrift racing team, discussed his goals for this event.
Yann Guichard : « For over two years we have been watching, learning and improving. We have built a strong and motivated team around us and know how a World Match Racing Tour event works: the waiting between races; the intensity of the matches; and the different pressures before and after the duels.  We have identified both our strengths and weaknesses and also know those of our competitors. There are inevitably fewer surprises than when we first started, all the ingredients are there to help to achieve great things on the water.  The crew and I are now more comfortable with match racing. In Marstrand, for example, we managed the start phases well, something that we lacked last year, and were able to gain the advantage over our competitors on many occasions. We also had good boat speed, which often allowed us to control our opponents. But there were also some mistakes that we will try not to repeat over the next few days in Risør. Our goal is to affirm our victory in Sweden, and win this next event of the World Match Racing Tour – but we are against eleven other teams also determined to win. "
