Thierry Duprey
Sailor

Born April 2nd 1970 in Paris 20e
Lives in Cancale (35)

Born in Paris, Thierry is a true athlete who started his sporting career as an elite runner. He began sailing on Lake Annecy at the age of 20, and within four years he was crossing the Atlantic and regularly sailing on a wide range of boats, including tall ships, maxi trimarans and catamarans, between Europe and the West Indies. He began multihull offshore racing when Baron de Rothschild asked him to skipper his trimaran. This calm and efficient Frenchman has earned his place onboard some of the most famous ocean-going trimarans, all the while acquiring a wealth of experience. He was part of the crew that secured the Jules Verne Trophy with Banque Populaire V – later rechristened Spindrift 2. Thierry is on standby to join the crew should anyone not be able to leave.
