Born in Lyon, Benjamin discovered sailing through his judo teacher! With a passion for sport, the teacher took his students to discover other disciplines including sailing dinghies in the Mediterranean. It was to be a revelation for Benjamin, who became obsessed with the sport and went on to study geology as the free periods allowed him the opportunity to sail as much as possible.  Benjamin began by sailing sport-boats and 30-40 foot monohulls, but then quickly moved to more ambitious projects (SFS and Dongfeng race team) and added to his skills as a crewmember by taking responsibility for the electronics and systems on board.  These are key knowledge and skill areas that he will bring to the team throughout the world tour.
