Corentin Horeau

Born 13 June 1989 in Auray (56)
Lives La Trinite-sur-Mer

Growing up in La Trinite sur Mer, where some of the world’s largest racing boats are berthed, it is not difficult to see how Corentin was inspired to become a sailor. He happily took advantage of the huge plethora of different boats that sail in Quiberon Bay as well as opportunities to easily access offshore sailing opportunities.

A qualified Officer in Charge of the Watch in the Merchant Navy, Corentin decided not follow a career on cargo ships or commercial boats, but instead to joined the Figaro circuit and spent four years at the helm of Figaro Bretagne - Crédit Mutuel, and adding experience on both single and multi hull boats to his sailing credentials.

The lure of the adventure of Jules Verne Trophy has been with him since childhood, and it with great honour and delight that he has been selected to complete the crew for the 2019-2020 attempt for this milestone event.
