Lives in Lorient
While born in Paris, Marie-Claude spends all her holidays in Brittany where, as a teenager, she first discovered the joys of windsurfing. After studying Foreign Languages and Civilizations at the Sorbonne, her interest in sport and the media led her to join the editorial staff at "France Télévision" Sports Department in Paris for about ten years. But the spirit of the open sea came calling in 2002 and she settled permanently in Lorient, in the heart of sailing country. After setting up the "Océanimages" educational project for Néfertiti-Ouest, she joined the Cité de la Voile Éric Tabarly in Lorient, where she was in charge of the resource centre and educational projects for 13 years. Her creativity, expertise in education, and her excellent knowledge of offshore racing made her a natural choice when Spindrift racing needed to design the first Spindrift for Schools educational kit to launch during the team’s Jules Verne Trophy record attempt in 2015. Since then, Marie-Claude has been supporting Spindrift for Schools, particularly in terms of content creation and relations with various stakeholders in the education system.
